I
am a qualified Reconnective Healing Practitioner, Neuromuscular
Therapist and Tai Chi and Biokinetics teacher. I also have an ITEC
Therapeutic Massage, Anatomy and Physiology diploma. I have been
practicing Tai Chi for over twelve years and have been a therapist
for the last six years.
My
original educational background was rather different. I studied
Engineering at Oxford and Imperial College, gaining an MA and MSc
respectively and have also done an MBA at City University.
Until
recently, I was a very keen rower and worked as a quantitative analyst
for various banks in the City over a period of 15 years.
As
a rower, I competed in the Boat Race as well as representing Great
Britain at the World Rowing Championships five times between 1991
and 1996. This experience has given me great insight into the world
of top class sport, the pressures of training, the problems in recovering
from injury, illness etc.
My
experience as an office worker means I know very well what it is
like to stare at a computer all day and how it can effect your health
and posture. I am also very familiar with the stresses and strains
of office work.
At
home, my wife and I try, usually in vain, to keep up with our nine
year old twins.
